Set of processes through which an applicant becomes a student at an HEI. The institution verifies the applicant's qualifications held (often through the applicant presenting certificates), makes a commitment to pay tuition fees, may receive a bursary or other financial support, and may be officially allocated a personal tutor, given time table information, and terms and conditions for attendance, access to libraries and laboratories, etc. The HEI confirms that the applicant is joining the institution as a student. |
